Introduction to school life
At Yokkaichi Japanese Language School, in addition to learning the Japanese language, we also hold a variety of events and activities so that students can understand Japanese customs, culture, and manners, rather than simply learning the language.
Below are some highlights.

April Entrance Ceremony, Cherry Blossom Viewing Party hosted by Japan-China Friendship Association
The entrance ceremony was held in April. The principal spoke about life in Japan, and then students introduced themselves to their classmates.
Senior students also attended the ceremony, so students were able to hear about life in Japan.
We also hold a cherry blossom viewing party as an event for new students to attend.
June Class scene
Classes take a variety of forms, including lectures, workshops, writing practice, etc.
In principle, classes are conducted in the direct method, without the use of an intermediary language, and only in Japanese.
July: Yukata dressing experience
Every year, we invite a professional instructor to hold a seminar on how to wear “Yukata”, a part of Japanese culture. By actually wearing the yukata and experiencing it yourself, you can gain a deeper understanding of the culture.
August: Bus trip organized by the Japan-China Friendship Association
A bus trip was organized by the Japan-China Friendship Association. In 2013, the trip visited Kyoto, providing an experience of experiencing ancient Japanese traditions.
In addition to sightseeing spots, the trip also visited corporate factories to deepen understanding of Japanese industry.
September: Tea ceremony experience at Sisuian
We had a tea ceremony experience at Shisuian in Yokkaichi City . Tea ceremony is an ancient Japanese culture based on hospitality, said to have been perfected by Sen no Rikyu. Students were treated to matcha green tea and sweets.
